Companionship - Helping you live your life to the full
At CommuniCare, we often found that our clients may need nothing more than some companionship to make their day a little brighter. Our care staff often report that their greatest sense of job satisfaction comes from spending time with our clients and helping them with activities they would otherwise have been unable to do.
The following information will give you an indication of the types of activities our Carers can enjoy carrying out with your loved one. This list is not intended to be exhaustive – as always, we will be happy to discuss any and all services you may require.
Recreational activities
Mental and physical stimulation is a vital part of maintaining a healthy and active mind and body. Our Carers would be delighted to join your loved one on a walk in the fresh air, to help with a crossword or to join in a board game. They can also help with some gardening or could read a book aloud, amongst other things.
Getting out and about
Your Carer can help you to organise and plan your daily activities. They would be happy to accompany you to appointments, social occasions and Church visits, amongst other things.
Companionship
Maybe you would like nothing more than to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with a companion. We often find that clients and carer staff strike up a friendship and enjoy spending time with one another. If you would like to entertain friends or family in your home, your Carer will ensure that your home is tidy and welcoming and that you have everything you need to enjoy their visit.
