We supply trained care staff with experience in dealing with specific health problems, including Alzheimer’s and dementia, paralysis, degenerative diseases and neurological disorders.

Disability Services

Our staff have extensive experience in caring for people with a wide range of physical and intellectual disabilities. Clients have included those with Down’s Syndrome, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s and spinal injuries among others.  We also care for clients experiencing a variety of mental health problems ranging from schizophrenia to acquired brain injury.

We help maintain the dignity, health and independence of these clients by providing physical care, psychological nurturing and the possibility of living in independent living arrangements for as long as possible. Much of our care occurs over a medium to long-term basis and provides much needed social as well as professional support for these clients.

CommuniCare staff can assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, feeding, meal preparation, light house-keeping duties, transport to and from healthcare facilities, companionship and prompting medication administration. Aside from these duties, they will document the progress and any extra requirements an individual needs to facilitate independence in their home living situation and thereby optimise quality of life.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you require one of our trained staff to assist and promote a loved one’s independence and wellbeing in their home setting.
