Tracheostomy Care

Tracheostomy care requires specialised knowledge and skills that are both competent and tailored to the individual.  In our ongoing commitment to providing service excellence and high levels of safety, CommuniCare provides you with staff who are  trained specifically for the particular type of care being considered.

Staff are familiar with the safe management of patients, equipment maintenance,  prevention of infection, emergency procedures and addressing the more individualised aspects of a clients’ care.  This applies to infants, children, adults, disabled and post-surgical clients whether it be in the home setting, during travel or in the healthcare environment. Each staff member has been rigorously interviewed,  Garda checked and has relevant up-to-date training obtained from a nationally recognised health institution. They are observed in practice, have their competency assured and regularly undergo training updates.

Selecting well-trained nurses and carers to assist has alleviated some of this burden.
